Appointed Executive Vice President and President of Mondelēz International for Europe
in July 2011, Tim Cofer leads the company’s European business, based in Zurich,
Switzerland. Mr. Cofer has full P&L responsibility for over $14 Billion in sales,
including 34,000 employees and over 70 manufacturing facilities across 35 countries.
Tim joined Kraft Foods in 1992 and has progressed through a number of marketing,
strategy and general management roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to leading
the Europe region, he was responsible for the worldwide $9 billion chocolate business
as Senior Vice President, Global Chocolate Category. Prior to this, Tim served as
Senior Vice President, Strategy and Integration, leading the global integration
of Cadbury. The integration exceeded all goals of revenue and cost synergies, talent
retention and change management building a best-of-both winning culture.
Tim has also held successful tenures leading US businesses, as President Kraft Pizza
Company and Oscar Mayer Foods consistently growing revenues & profits while expanding
market shares based on a track record of innovation, marketing and sales excellence
and inspirational people leadership.
Tim was valedictorian of his MBA class at the University of Minnesota, and earned
his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science at St. Olaf College, graduating
Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He has significant global experience working
across developed and developing markets and living in Italy, Belgium, Switzerland,
the United Kingdom and the USA. Tim is married, has two sons and lives in Zurich.
